The Campitos turquoise mine is an active deposit located near Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, roughly 35 miles south of the U.S. border. It is know for producing vibrant blue stones that resemble Arizona’s famous Sleeping Beauty turquoise, frequently featuring sparkling pyrite (fool's gold) inclusions.
