NOTICE:  We try to accurately depict the color and color shades of our stones, but all monitors are calibrated differently and we cannot guarantee that the color of an item is exactly like what you see from on your particular computer screen.  Photos are NOT to scale and usually are enlarged to show product detail.  Please read the item details about the product size prior to making purchase.  The size of the beads and the length of the strands are approximate and cannot be guaranteed due to inconsistencies in the stone cutting process.

NO.  We cannot produce a catalog of our products because many of the items are "one-of-a-kind" and once sold they are gone!

We do not have any minimums - no minimum order amount or quantity.

Our website inventory is updated in real time, so the quantities shown as "In Stock" are generally accurate. However, occasional inventory discrepancies can occur. If an item on your order is unavailable, we will automatically refund the purchase price of that item to your original payment method.

We do not place items on backorder. While many products may be restockable, we cannot guarantee when or if they will become available again because we source products from numerous suppliers around the world.

Please Note: If an item is marked as "Restockable" but is currently out of stock, you may still be able to add it to your cart. If that item is unavailable when your order is processed, it will be canceled and refunded rather than placed on backorder.

We understand that purchasing gemstones and beads online can sometimes feel uncertain. That's why we work hard to provide high-quality products and accurate descriptions. Most of the items we sell are hand-selected, and whenever possible, the photographs on our website are of the actual item you will receive. (Exceptions may include common items such as round beads, chip strands, and certain manufactured products.)

We make every effort to accurately represent the products offered on our website. However, the appearance of colors may vary depending on your monitor, phone, or device settings. In addition, photographs are often enlarged to show detail, and products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size. Please carefully review all product descriptions, measurements, and sizing information before making a purchase.

All measurements are approximate, and slight variations may occur due to the nature of gemstones and the manufacturing process.

We take pride in accurately representing our products, but if you have any questions before purchasing, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Please Note: We encourage all customers to review our Refund Policy and Shipping Policy before placing an order.

Based in Texas, we travel throughout the year to source unique gemstones, beads, cabochons, and specialty materials. We attend wholesale trade shows, work with trusted suppliers, and search for extraordinary and hard-to-find stones from around the world.

In addition to carefully sourced natural gemstones, we now offer select imported stones and our own manufactured stone products, providing an even wider variety of materials for jewelry makers, collectors, and designers.

Our goal is to offer distinctive, high-quality products that inspire creativity while providing the service and value our customers have come to expect from Stones N Silver.

Approximately 90% of the stones we carry are hand-selected. We work with suppliers from around the world to source the unique and hard-to-find stones featured on our website. We spend considerable time sorting through strands and inventory to select the best quality materials available at the time of purchase.

While we carefully inspect the products we offer, please remember that gemstones are natural materials and natural variations are to be expected. We specialize primarily in semi-precious stones, and each stone will have its own unique characteristics, patterns, inclusions, and imperfections. These natural features are part of what makes each stone unique.

Examples of common characteristics include:

Gaspeite – Often contains natural pits and brown matrix material.

Larimar – High-quality material can be difficult to source. Colors may range from blue and gray-blue to greenish-blue, and host rock inclusions are common.

Ruby Zoisite – May not polish evenly and can occasionally have rough or chalky areas near drilled holes.

Jaspers and Agates – As naturally hard stones, they may contain small pits, holes, or surface irregularities.

Patterned Stones – We select the most colorful and attractive material available; however, natural variations in color and pattern occur within every strand. Individual stones may not be identical in appearance.

Please Note: We encourage customers to review product descriptions, photographs, and our Refund Policy before placing an order.

We make every effort to source natural, untreated gemstones whenever possible. When purchasing from suppliers, we specifically ask about any known treatments and generally avoid stones that have been dyed or artificially color-enhanced.

One exception is coral, which may be offered in either natural or dyed varieties. When known, we will clearly identify these treatments in the product description.

Please note that we rely on information provided by our suppliers and manufacturers. While we do our best to verify treatment information, we cannot guarantee that every stone is completely untreated unless it is specifically identified as such.

Some commonly available gemstones, including carnelian, garnet, aquamarine, and iolite, are often heat-treated or enhanced during the cutting process, particularly when sourced from large manufacturing facilities.

About Turquoise

Most turquoise available on today's market is stabilized. Stabilization is a common process that uses pressure and resin to strengthen the stone, making it durable enough for cutting, polishing, and jewelry use.

Unless a supplier specifically certifies a turquoise product as 100% natural, we assume it has been stabilized. Any turquoise that is confirmed to be natural will be clearly identified as such in the product description.

Some cabochons are backed to add strength and stability to the stone during the cutting and shaping process. A backing material, typically an epoxy-based product such as Devcon or Plastic Weld, is bonded to the back of the stone to help prevent splintering, cracking, or breakage.

Because the backing material adds weight and thickness, we sell our cabochons by piece rather than by weight.

Backing is a common and widely accepted practice in the gemstone and lapidary industry, particularly for materials that may be more fragile or prone to breakage during cutting and setting. In most cases, the backing will be completely hidden once the cabochon is mounted in a bezel setting.

Please Note: Any cabochon that has been backed will be clearly identified in the product description.
