RARE White Creek Turquoise (Nevada) Graduated 6-15mm Long Nugget Beads, 17 Inch Strands
The White Creek Turquoise Mine is a historically significant, inactive deposit in northeast Nevada. Renowned for producing authentic, highly rare white-to-pale-blue turquoise, the mine's unique coloring is caused by a higher balance of aluminum rather than copper. It has been out of production since the 1980s.
Because White Creek and similar white to light ice blue turquoise varieties (like Dry Creek Turquoise) share their pale appearance with the legendary "White Buffalo" stones, genuine White Creek pieces are highly prized collector's items.
